    Accounting Professor Earns SLU’s Top Teaching Honor

    12/03/2024- Associate Professor of Accounting Neil Jansen is the recipient of the 2024 Nancy McNeir Ring Award for Excellence in Teaching.The Nancy McNeir Ring Award is SLU’s highest honor for teaching. The award is voted on by SLU’s chapter of Alpha Sigma Nu, the national Jesuit honor society, to acknowledge faculty members who display special dedication to students.

    11/12/2024- Saint Louis University is partnering with the Catholic Ethical Purchasing Alliance (CEPA), thanks to the hard work of business students and Dr. Ben Smyth, director of co-curricular and service-learning programs in the Chaifetz School of Business. The SLU bookstore will now carry ethically sourced spirit wear that reflects the university’s Catholic, Jesuit tradition. CEPA cultivates relationships between Catholic institutions and ethical, sustainable producers of products. CEPA also offers education and leadership opportunities for students.

    02/07/2024- Over Saint Louis University’s winter break, a group of 10 undergraduate international business students from the Chaifetz School of Business traveled abroad for the inaugural undergraduate Global Immersion course in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Prof. Hadi Alhorr, Director of the Boeing Institute of International Business, exposed the students to both economic and cultural aspects of the Middle East to ensure a well-rounded global experience augmenting their international business studies.

    11/17/2023- Saint Louis University's Chaifetz Center for Entrepreneurship concluded its Fall 2023 series of networking events with the SLU eMentor Entrepreneurship Trivia Night on Tuesday, Nov. 14. Nearly 100 participants attended, making it the largest mentorship event of the year. Students enjoyed an array of food and drinks, networked with local entrepreneurs, and formed teams to compete in St. Louis and entrepreneurship trivia within the business school atrium.
